Contains: Secondary pre-filter which removes medium particles like molds, spores and pollen. 30 sq. ft. of True Medical Grade HEPA material which removes harmful micro-organisms like bacteria and viruses 6.5 lbs. of activated Carbon/ Zeolite mix which removes 3000 hazardous chemicals, gases and odors like sulfuric acid & ammonia This is the primary element in military gas masks. Replacement: With normal use, will need a new filter every 5 years. If you notice an odor (from over used Carbon/Zeolite mix) or a decrease in air intake, it is time to purchase and install a replacement. Installation instructions included with replacement filter. A new HealthMate Jr. filter should be replaced along with a new Jr. Permafilt pre-filter .
